Meadow Farm Cottages and Fishery stock update….

Well with the weather on the turn and the water temperature dropping we have definitely seen an

Increase in the silver fish catches, namely our awesome IDE.. thought it was worth sharing a few of the catch shots over the last year.

So I guess you are thinking what’s the update then.

Well we have spoken to one of our suppliers today for an update on the IDE we ordered last year. This order was placed to give us a little top up across all lakes for this winter.

The update was very positive and they told us that the IDE were just hitting the 2lb mark back in July and are now almost ready for delivery. Yes you did read that right… average 2lb per fish back in July.

So when are they coming….

Approx 1000 fish.

Will you be catching them, well you will need to get yourself booked into one of our Wednesday or Saturday opens and find out.

Big shout out to Peter at PW Angling Norwich on supplying us with a bulk order of new keep nets.

The Middy Space savers work perfect for us allowing 3 and 4 nets on a bar so that you don’t have to overfill, fish welfare is always a priority for us!!

We are always thinking ahead and ensuring we always have something coming through the ranks.

So bringing in 7000 mirrors and a couple of tonnes of high protein feed will soon see these little stunners growing on.

Another great day on the Canal today with plenty of species being landed including some great weight builders . With the water temperature on the up the fish are definitely on the feed.

Exciting news!!! We have confirmed an order of approximately 300 C3 Mirror & Common Carp between 4-6lb, due for delivery 10th February!
